The 808 Bonneville challenge is this weekend!

That's it! After several months of training or even a whole year to prepare, the 350 participants of the 3rd edition of the Bonneville 808 Challenge will be on the starting line on Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14, in Mont-Tremblant! Among them, 11 courageous will pedal day and night to go through the ultimate challenge of 808 km which must be completed in less than 48 hours!

The cycling event who is offering different distances benefits the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence (FAEQ) whose mission is to offer scholarships to student-athletes and to accompany them from the moment their talent emerges until their transition into a career. Last year, more than $ 500,000 were raised! Moreover, Bonneville Homes is very proud to support 17 of the 49 award winners rewarded after the 2018 edition.

Presented by Fenplast and Lowe's Canada, in collaboration with Samson Consulting Group, the Bonneville 808 Challenge is proposing two new distances this year: the 115-kilometer Nordet Loop offered on Saturday, added to the Friday's 125-kilometer Arundel Loop. The combination of those two loops on both days became the new 240 km combo.

It is still possible to join the cyclists; you can register online or on site since the organizers will take registrations there until Saturday morning at the Head Office of the pedestrian village of Mont-Tremblant!

"We are proud to hold this 3rd edition of the Bonneville 808 Challenge, whose DNA is the inspiration," said Dany Bonneville, president and founder of the event. We are also proud of those who have done everything to get back into shape and participate in a first loop of 115 or 125 km and those who, more experienced, have decided to raise the bar by opting for a long distance, the 404 km or 808 km. These participants inspire each other and, in turn, inspire others to challenge themselves and adopt healthy lifestyle habits. The emotions we witness at the finish line are gold for the organizers and spectators: tears, affection, shouts of joy and satisfaction, as well as a palpable adrenaline and pride of overcoming obstacles. Come ride with us to push your limits and support our future leaders! "

Among the headline that will be there are Alpine World Champion Erik Guay, the freestyle skier Marc-Antoine Gagnon, who had two excellent 4th place at the Olympic Games Sochi and PyeongChang, not to mention Olympians Joëlle Numainville in cycling and Amélie Kretz in triathlon.
