Job description:

  • Communicate with suppliers to schedule items and troubleshoot missing items. 
  • Process purchase and inventory verification transactions for equipment, construction materials and inventory.  
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing and reporting records 
  • Monitor inventory levels as materials are released 
  • Compile inventory reports, record the quantity, nature and value of materials, equipment and available inventory, using a manual or computerized system 
  • Complete requisitions and purchase orders, complete other administrative writing jobs and check inventory. 

In conjunction with their supervisors, prioritized tasks according to deadlines. Their tasks are coordinated with those of their co-workers. Interruptions are frequent, which forces them to review their schedules.

Required Skills :

  • Experience, knowledge and skills in the supply chain, more specifically in purchasing or inventory management systems, an asset. 
  • Attention to detail, reliability, cooperation, stress tolerance, autonomy, initiative, perseverance, adaptability and flexibility, integrity and self-control. 
  • Problem solving, decision making, planning and organization of work, particular use of memory, intelligence seeking.
